Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including account details (email, name), project data (specifications, tickets, epics), and usage data (feature interactions, session metadata). We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information through standard server logs.
How We Use Information
Your information is used to provide and improve the SpecForge service, process your specifications through our AI pipeline, maintain account security, and communicate service updates. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on AWS infrastructure in the United States. We employ encryption at rest and in transit, regular security audits, and access controls to protect your information. Project data is isolated per account.
Third-Party Services
SpecForge integrates with third-party services to provide core functionality. AWS provides infrastructure and data storage. Anthropic processes specification data through their Claude API for AI-powered features. These providers have their own privacy policies governing data they process on our behalf.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences, though disabling essential cookies may affect service functionality.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may export your project data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond to requests within 30 days.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Project data is retained for 90 days after account deletion to allow for recovery. After this period, all data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups.
Changes to Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
